1. Service Provider

StudySEM is operated by Protero Ltd, trading as StudySEM. If you have any questions about these terms, you can contact us at studysem@protero.io.

2. What StudySEM Is

StudySEM is an online education platform providing study materials, question banks, mock exams, and revision tools for medical professionals and trainees preparing for postgraduate examinations in musculoskeletal and sport and exercise medicine.

3. Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may hold only one account - sharing accounts or login credentials with others is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis and are processed through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time - your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but if you have a genuine issue we are happy to consider it on a case-by-case basis. Please email studysem@protero.io with any billing concerns.

5. Course Purchases

Courses such as the DipMSK Exam Prep are one-off purchases that grant access for a specified duration (typically until the next exam sitting). Course purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted, except where required by applicable law.

6. Content Disclaimer

Users should always verify information against authoritative and up-to-date sources before applying it in clinical practice.

Protero Ltd accepts no liability for any clinical decisions made, or outcomes arising, from the use of content on StudySEM.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials on StudySEM are owned by Protero Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission. Scraping, automated data collection, and any form of systematic extraction of content from the platform are strictly prohibited.

8. Acceptable Use

When using StudySEM, you agree not to:

  • Share your login credentials with others
  • Access or attempt to access content you have not paid for
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to collect content or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action, but this is not guaranteed in cases of serious or repeated violations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protero Ltd's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of StudySEM is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. StudySEM is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of StudySEM shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
